Shoes Etiquettes- A Shoe for Every Occasion
There are two ways to think about shoe etiquettes.
The proper shoe for the occasion and the proper way
to enter a home or establishment in regards to the outdoor
shoe rule. Sometimes we can accommodate the proper use
of shoes but there may be times that it is just impossible
to follow the proper etiquette.
We think of shoes as being for every occasion. There
are shoes for dress, leisure, work and play.
The most important part of a shoe is the style and
how we dress our shoes with the right clothes. Dress
codes do not tell us that our shoes should be, but rather
what our clothes should look like.
Dress shoes for women might be a sandal or a closed
toe shoe. Men on the other hand can wear a dress boot
or another type of dress shoe. Shoes for leisure are
gym shoes or sandals, even moccasins. Work and play
shoes may be a boot type or any other type that is comfortable
for the type of activity.
Different cultures require different types of shoe
etiquettes. The shoe, considered outdoor shoes, which
has resulted in many cultures and lifestyles to have
special rules for shoes. In many instances the shoe
taken off before entering the home, this may be required
in many cultures. Culture has played an important role
in how shoes designs began. Trends seem too called for
shoes that are easy to remove without much fuss.

.Leaving Your Outdoor Shoes at the Door
In Japan it is customary for a person entering establishments
or homes to leave there outdoor shoes at the door and
slip into a pair of slippers. This custom has evolved
into a custom for many people in every culture. The
proper shoe etiquettes depend on where you are and what
the preferred custom requires.
Many people have adapted this custom in their private
homes for many reasons. Some people feel that outdoor
shoes may soil the carpet or even cause scuffmarks on
wood floors. The reasons for taking your outdoor shoes
off at the door have evolved for many reasons. When
you enter a home, you leave your shoes at the door and
slip into a pair of slippers that in some cultures,
they provide.
The Proper Shoe for Every Season
A long noted tradition, wearing white after Labor Day
is unacceptable. White sandals, close toe shoes or any
other style should be stored away for the winter. This
statement does not hold true for brides and athletes
who wear the white shoe for marriages and sports. During
winter months, the boots come out and the sandals get
out away as well.
There are many different types of outdoor shoes for
every season and winter brings boots, close toe shoes
and warm fuzzy slippers. Another time when people take
their shoes off at the door is when wearing boots, water
spots during snowy months can cause soiling of floors.
Outdoor shoes come off at the door and a warm slipper
to step into is set aside waiting inside.
